General Shortcuts

You know what shortcuts are now, so let's start with some general ones that you should be able to use anywhere. These are mostly to do something in the current panel, and a few to manage your panels.

Ctrl + Alt + DeleteOpen simple Windows actionsThis opens a full-screen view with four actions: Lock, Switch user, Log out and task manager
Alt + ShiftSwitch keyboard layoutSwitch the keyboard layout when multiple keyboard layouts are available
Middle mouse clickOpen appMiddle mouse click on an app in your taskbar to open a new instance of it
Alt + F4Close panelClose the active panel, also works with Windows itself
Alt + Tab(⭾)Switch between panelsHold alt and press tab again or arrow keys to cycle through all open panels
Alt + Space, MMove panelWith a panel selected (wether via Alt + Tab or through taskbar) press the combination Alt + Space, then press M. Now click and move your mouse to move panel, useful for lost panels. (doesn't work with everything)
Ctrl + Alt + Tab(⭾)Show all open panelsThis is the same is Alt + Tab, but you don't have to hold alt
Ctrl + Alt + EnterRun as adminRun the selected app in start menu as admin
Middle mouse clickClose appWhile alt-tabbed (holding alt or having used Ctrl) middle click on one of the open panels to close it

F1HelpThis generally opens some kind op pop-up or website with more info
F2RenameRename the selected item, mostly for files and folders
F6CycleCycle through areas in your panel (This is slightly different than the tab cycle)
